Peter the Great Bridge - Saint Petersburg

This bridge is also known as Bolsheokhtinsky Bridge but obviously it is much easier to say Peter the Great Bridge. It is a bridge across the Neva River in Saint Petersburg and it has been in use since 1911. The city rumor has it that one of the clenches in the bridge is made from pure gold, and colored to be the same color as the rest of clenches. Well, it seems to be impossible to verify, since the bridge has like one million clenches.

This is one of the coolest cards with statues I have ever received. Iy was sent by dear Anya (synnin in the forums) for Surprise Me RR, March Round. Anya says the statues look damn real and I totally agree with her. Don't you?

Kriukov Canal

This cool card of St. Petersburg's Kriukov Canal and St. Nicholas Cathedral came from Synnin for Surprise Me RR January Round. Thanks to this card I learned St. Petersburg is called "Northern Venice" because of its rivers and canals.
