I had no clue that there was such a carnival in Germany till I received these cards. I totally loved the masks and many thanks to goyesca and floeckchen for sending me these cute cards.For 400 years, Black Forest villages of Germany have hosted these celebrations called Fastnacht or Fasching (Eve of the Beginning of the Fast). It brings together hundreds of people dressed in costume. They gather to rid the streets of winter's demons. I liked the idea and the all the dressing and costumes.
