This Official Postcrossing Postcard (US-480632) I'd received back in August shows a scenery from WaterFire Providence, the capital city of Rhode Island. WaterFire is actually an event they hold many weekends in Providence. It's like a big street festival with music and performers, all along the river are these fires. This card I received was printed back in 1994, when WaterFire first started. It shows canoeists encountering 4 of the 35 bonfires of the time. Today there are more than 100 bonfires all along the river. Thanks to Elizabeth for all the information.
