Harbour Seals

Thanks to evsmom03 for sending me a card of these cute rock seals (US Around the World RR, Group 3). Harbour Seals come to Long Island waters in the winter months. Harbour seals are a gregarious species that frequently aggregate on haul out sites at low tide. Usually wary and shy on land they are easily frightened, quickly returning to the water when threatened.
